Beyond Conventional Limits

Custom Roof & Floor Trusses Beyond Conventional Limits.

When transportation is a challenge, Trusses Unlimited brings the manufacturing process directly to your job site. Our on-site truss manufacturing eliminates shipping limitations, allowing us to build custom roof and floor trusses for projects that exceed conventional size restrictions.

If field dimensions differ from the original plans or unexpected changes arise during construction, we adjust quickly to keep your project moving. With fast response times, custom solutions, and decades of expertise, Trusses Unlimited helps you stay on schedule—no matter the challenge.

A reliable truss partner—with flexibility when it matters.

Trusses Unlimited provides the service you expect from a dependable truss supplier: quick and clear bidding, responsive communication, proactive coordination, and quality engineered roof and floor trusses. We work directly with you throughout the process and take the time to understand your project so that things go right from the start.

When a project requires more than the conventional approach can provide, our capabilities give us the flexibility to go further. Whatever the circumstances, our focus remains the same: finding practical solutions and keeping your project moving.

When transportation is a challenge, we manufacture on site.

Trusses Unlimited brings the manufacturing process directly to your jobsite when needed. On-site manufacturing eliminates many of the transportation limitations associated with finished trusses, allowing us to build custom roof and floor trusses for projects where size, road access, or site conditions make conventional delivery difficult or impractical.

If dimensions differ from plans, we adjust to fit.

Foundation walls, framing, and roof lines do not always end up exactly where the drawings show them. Even a difference of a few inches can create significant problems when trusses have already been manufactured to fixed dimensions.

Because our equipment can be brought directly to the jobsite, we can verify actual field conditions and, where feasible, quickly redesign and adjust truss dimensions on site to match the actual construction. This flexibility often allows contractors to resolve unexpected conditions without the delays normally associated with off-site manufacturing, helping keep construction on schedule.

Beyond Conventional Truss Design

Passive Fire Protection—Built Into the Truss System

Meaningful improvements in passive fire protection don’t have to mean major changes or major additional costs. Trusses Unlimited offers proprietary, patent-pending passive fire protection systems that, on many projects, can be incorporated for a fraction of one percent of the overall construction cost.

Because the protection is integrated into the truss system from the beginning, we can provide meaningful improvements in passive fire protection that would otherwise be difficult or considerably more costly to achieve through conventional construction methods. Our systems are designed to slow the spread of fire through concealed truss spaces and extend the time before fire exposure can lead to structural failure or collapse of the trusses.*

For builders and developers, this creates more than an additional safety feature. It provides a practical way to differentiate the building itself—giving buyers, owners, and investors a meaningful feature they can understand and value, without substantially changing the construction process or economics of the project.

For homeowners, the value is more personal. Slower fire spread and more time before structural collapse can provide valuable additional time for occupants to escape and for firefighters to respond.*

Trusses Unlimited is a member of the Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA), connecting us with specialized industry knowledge and leading fire-protection professionals and engineers.

Build beyond conventional limits. Build more time into the structure.

Contact us early in the design process to discuss how our passive fire protection systems can add protection—and value—to your next multifamily, commercial, or residential project.

The Advantage

Why On-Site Manufacturing Matters

When transportation is a challenge, we manufacture on site.

On-site fabrication ensures your trusses match the actual building conditions. When foundation walls, framing, or roof lines differ from the plans—even by a few inches—our team can adjust truss dimensions in real time.

Construction rarely unfolds exactly as planned. Even when drawings are accurate, certain limitations only become apparent once a structure is taking shape. When fabrication happens on site, there is sometimes an opportunity to resolve these issues without restarting the process.

Built On Site or Manufactured — Your Choice

Roof, Floor & Engineered Truss Manufacturing

Trusses Unlimited is a full-service truss manufacturer serving Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front. Most of our roof and floor trusses are custom-built on location for a precision fit with zero transport limits — but if your project calls for pre-built, manufactured, or prefabricated trusses instead, we produce those too. Either way, every truss is engineered to your plans and local building code.

Manufactured Roof Trusses

Pre-built roof trusses manufactured to spec and ready for delivery, or fabricated on-site — whichever fits your site access and schedule.

Floor Truss Manufacturing

Engineered floor trusses built for long spans and heavy loads, manufactured to your exact framing plan.

Engineered Trusses

Engineered roof and floor trusses built with dimensional lumber for maximum strength on complex rooflines.

Wood Truss Manufacturers, Made Local

As a Utah-based wood truss manufacturer, we cut lead times and freight costs compared to out-of-state manufactured truss suppliers.

One Yard, Every Material

Lumber & Building Materials Supply

Common Questions

Truss Company FAQ

Are you a truss builder or a truss manufacturer?

Both. As a Utah truss company, we manufacture roof and floor trusses and can build them on location at your job site — whichever gets your project framed faster.

Do you build custom roof trusses?

Yes. Every roof and floor truss we produce is custom-engineered to your home's plans, not a stock size — including complex or non-standard rooflines.

What areas does your truss company serve near me?

We serve Salt Lake City and the surrounding Wasatch Front counties as a local Utah truss company, with on-site truss manufacturing available across the region.

Do you supply wood trusses for new home construction?

Yes — from roof trusses to floor trusses, we supply the full wood truss package for new home builds and additions alike.

Can you supply lumber along with my trusses?

Yes. We supply dimensional lumber and sheet goods alongside your truss order so your whole framing package arrives together.

quick response

When changes happen, we respond quickly.

Changes may become necessary because of unforeseen field conditions, engineering revisions, or requests from the contractor or homeowner. When fabrication is tied to a rigid off-site production process, late changes can be difficult, costly, and time-consuming.

Our on-site capabilities give Trusses Unlimited the flexibility to re-engineer and implement changes when circumstances require them—helping avoid the costly delays that can result when trusses must be redesigned, remanufactured, and shipped from an off-site plant.
